Solectric Power CorporationThe Company is in the process of partnering in several strategic alliances which includes developmental funding from Federal and Mass State [grant] funding agencies. Upon receipt of grant funding, the prototype experimentation and fabrication will begin with a very high priority to successfully demonstrate 'proof of principle' so that the finalization of the Company's four basic patents will be filed in the US. They include, Method, Materials, Product and Equipment. Once this stage has been reached, other [grant] funding that has been in-the-offing, will be drawn down and a stream of other US government funding will also be applied for as a continuation of the earlier grants mentioned above. This follow-on funding will provide capital to establish a pilot production facility and to begin Beta testing as well as the prosecution of the Company's UL Recognition.
The Company will return to the capital funding marketplace to raise high volume manufacturing and licensing funding. There are several modern, electronic manufacturing facilities in the Company's sights to lease and facilitate to inaugurate very high volume production in the US. Foreign licensees will begin by serving as distributors, then become sub-assembly operations for their respective regions and finally, full fabrication partners.
Solectric plans to sell its commercial GENSTOR© panels through resellers. Resellers like SunEdison, install solar panels through a method that requires no capital expenditure from its customers. SunEdison installs at its expense and warrantees a fixed cost of electrical energy to its customers over the life of their contracts of 20 years or more. Large commercial customers of SunEdison can therefore anticipate a fixed cost of energy no matter how much utility [GRID] provided energy may spike. The typical SunEdison installation generates more energy than the specific customer requires, enabling SunEdison to sell the excess energy at the going rate. Solectric's example customer, benefits by selling energy directly to its customer at a profit over the term of the contract and also from sales of energy to the GRID, generally at a significantly higher rate which has been put into effect by the Federal Energy bill signed into law in August, 2007 by President Bush. By this creative method of equipment financing, no budgets are burdened, and a price based on the true value of the Solectric GENSTOR© technology to the customer is established.
